Claim:
The video has been shared on X with a caption claiming that Nepal is witnessing widespread destruction following severe floods, with people seen wading through muddy, debris-filled water to search for and recover their belongings. The caption further claims that people found a bag containing ₹500 Indian currency notes and were seen rejoicing over the discovery. It also cautions that entering fast-flowing, debris-filled floodwater is extremely dangerous.

Fact Check:
To verify the viral video claiming that a bag containing ₹500 Indian currency notes was found during the floods in Nepal, we conducted a reverse image search using keyframes from the footage. The search led us to a video uploaded on the Instagram account ‘parshuram_676’ on July 14, 2024.

Additionally, we found the same boat seen in the viral video in several other videos uploaded on the same Instagram account.
Not only that, we also found several videos with visuals similar to those in the viral video uploaded on the same video creator’s Facebook account. The information provided on the Facebook account also lists Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, as the location.

Conclusion:
The evidence gathered during our research clearly establishes that the video being circulated with the claim that ₹500 Indian currency notes were found inside a bag during the floods in Nepal was actually filmed by a video creator in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh.

Fact Check:
After performing a reverse image search we found a full clip on the official channel of The Hindu in which Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan inaugurated ‘Ran-Samwad’ 2025 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.
In the clip on the time stamp of 1:22:12 we can see the actual part of the video segment which was manipulated in the viral video.
Also, by using Hiya AI Audio tool we got to know that the voice was manipulated in the specific segment of the video. The result shows Deepfake with an authenticity score 1/100, the result also shows the statement which is deepfake which was “ was to never mess with Pakistan because their army appears to be far more superior”.
Conclusion:
The viral video attributing remarks to CDS General Anil Chauhan about Pakistan’s Army being “superior” is fabricated. The original footage from The Hindu confirms no such statement was made, while forensic analysis using Hiya AI Audio detected clear voice manipulation, identifying the clip as a deepfake with minimal authenticity. Hence, the claim is baseless, misleading, and an attempt to spread disinformation.

In the clip, Gambhir can be heard saying,“Even people who have nothing to do with cricket have made comments. An IPL owner also wrote about split coaching. It’s surprising. People must stay in their own domain. If we don’t interfere in someone else’s domain, they have no right to interfere in ours.”The video is being shared with the claim that Gambhir made these remarks recently in response to trolling after India’s loss to South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2026. However, research by the CyberPeace found the claim to be misleading. The viral video is not related to the T20 World Cup 2026. It is from December 2025 and pertains to India’s Test series defeat against South Africa. An old video is being circulated with a misleading context.

An Instagram user, ‘rns_news200’, shared the viral video on February 23, 2026, claiming that after the loss to South Africa, head coach Gautam Gambhir issued a stern warning to Indian fans. The caption stated that Suryakumar Yadav was heavily trolled on social media after the match, and Gambhir responded strongly, saying players should not be unfairly targeted and the team deserves support, especially during difficult times.
Fact Check
To verify the claim, we conducted a keyword search on Google. We found the same video on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of sports journalist Vikrant Gupta. The video was posted on December 7, 2025. According to the caption, Gambhir was expressing dissatisfaction following India’s performance.
We also found the longer version of the video on the official website of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), where it was published on December 6, 2025. In the full video, Gambhir is clearly seen speaking about India’s defeat to South Africa in a Test match. The specific segment that went viral appears around the 1 minute 58 second mark.
Conclusion
Our research found that the viral claim about Gautam Gambhir’s video being linked to trolling after the T20 World Cup 2026 is misleading. These guidelines will play a critical role in the regulation of capital, fortification of financial integrity, and transparency of regulatory and cross-border payments. The key highlights of this regulation include strict pre-authorization for non-bank entities, mandating specific accounts for import and export PA-CBs and a transaction ceiling of 25,00,000 Rupees.

The prescriptive measures announced by the RBI are nothing short of a regulatory beacon that cuts through the fog of uncertainty, illuminating a clear path forward for entities dedicated to facilitating cross-border payment transactions pertaining to the import and export of permissible goods and services in India through online modes. Inclusiveness is a hallmark of the RBI’s directive, encompassing a diverse cadre of financial actors, ranging from Authorized Dealer (AD) banks and conventional Payment Aggregators (PAs), to the emergent breed of PA-CBs actively engaged in processing these critical international payment transactions.
