#FactCheck: Old videos falsely shared as alleged rape of Dalit woman inside Ayodhya’s Ram Temple

Our research found that the viral video has been created by combining two separate clips. Our research found that this clip has been available on the internet since December 27, 2025. A Facebook user shared the viral video on September 21, 2026, with the caption, “Dalit woman raped inside the Ram Temple.”The post link, archive link and screenshot are provided below.

Fact Check
To verify the authenticity of the viral image, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. However, we did not find any credible media report related to the viral image during the search. To verify the claim, we conducted a reverse image search of the keyframes from the video. During the search, we found the same video on the Facebook page of Punjab Kesari - Uttarakhand, where it was published on March 6, 2026. According to the post, the woman staged a protest at Buddha Park in Haldwani and raised issues related to her in-laws. The link and screenshot of the relevant post are provided below.

Meanwhile, we found the second part of the viral video on LinkedIn, where the video was published on December 27, 2025.
Our research makes it clear that two old and unrelated videos are being shared with a misleading claim linking them to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The videos have no connection with the alleged incident on the temple premises, and based on the available evidence, there is no confirmation of any such incident taking place at the Ram Temple. Our research found that the viral video was created by combining two separate clips. In the first part of the video, a woman can be seen staging a protest at Buddha Park in Haldwani and raising issues related to her in-laws. In the second part, a girl can be seen expressing her anger. Our research found that this clip has been available on the internet since December 27, 2025. If children were to answer in mixed languages instead of one complete sentence in a single language (eg, Hindi and English), the AI would still consider it as a response. The AI lessons are two minutes long and are inculcated with real-world examples. The emphasis on interactive and fun learning of concepts through innovation enhances the learning experience. Currently only available in Hindi, it is being worked on to include 20 other languages such as Punjabi and Marathi.
UNESCO, AI, and Education
It is important to note that such innovations also find encouragement in UNESCO’s mandate as AI in education contributes to achieving the 2030 Agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (here; SDG 4- focusing on quality education). Within the ambit of the Beijing Consensus held in 2019, UNESCO encourages a human-centred approach to AI, and has also developed the “Artificial Intelligence and Education: Guidance for Policymakers” aiming towards understanding its potential and opportunities in education as well as the core competencies it needs to work on. Another publication was launched during one of the flagship events of UNESCO- (Digital Learning Week, 2024) - AI competency frameworks for both, students and teachers which provide a roadmap for assessing the potential and risks of AI, each covering common aspects such as AI ethics, and human-centred mindset and even certain distinct options such as AI system design for students and AI pedagogy for teachers.

While AI holds immense promise in education, innovation with regard to learning is contentious as several risks must be carefully managed. Depending on the innovation, AI’s struggle with multitasking beyond the classroom, such as administrative duties and tedious grading, which require highly detailed role descriptions could prove to be a challenge. This can become exhausting for developers managing innovative AI systems, as they would have to fit various responses owing to the inherent nature of AI needing to be trained to produce output. Security concerns are another major issue, as data breaches could compromise sensitive student information. Implementation costs also present challenges, as access to AI-driven tools depends on financial resources. Furthermore, AI-driven personalised learning, while beneficial, may inadvertently reduce student motivation, also compromising students' soft skills, such as teamwork and communication, which are crucial for real-world success. These risks highlight the need for a balanced approach to AI integration in education.
Conclusion
Innovations related to education, especially the ones that focus on a human-centred AI approach, have immense potential in not only enhancing learning experiences but also reshaping how knowledge is accessed, understood, and applied. Untapped potential using other services is also encouraged in this sector. However, maintaining a balance between fostering intrigue and ensuring the inculcation of ethical and secure AI remains imperative.

The Rise of Romance Scams
Modern romance scams have evolved from their original form because criminals now execute their schemes through more advanced methods. Fraudsters create authentic-looking fake identities, which they use to deceive victims through dating applications, social media platforms and networking websites. The profiles use stolen images and fake job histories, together with convincing emotional stories, which help them establish trust with potential victims.
Scammers usually begin their deception after they have built an emotional connection with their targets. Victims experience two types of damage because criminals steal their money, and they suffer emotional pain, and their social standing gets damaged.
Fake E-Commerce and “Valentine’s Deals”
Valentine's Day marks the beginning of a shopping rush, which leads people to buy various gifts, including flowers, jewellery and customised products, as well as making reservations for events. Cybercriminals create fake websites to exploit this demand by providing fake discounts and temporary promotional offers.
Common warning signs include:
- Newly registered domains that lack valid user reviews
- Websites that contain multiple spelling mistakes and display poor design
- Payment requests through methods that cannot be tracked
- Online platforms that lack secure payment processing systems
Consumers who make purchases on such sites face the risk of losing money while their card information is stolen for future fraudulent activities.
Phishing in the Name of Love
During the holiday season, phishing campaigns increase their focus on particular targets. Users may receive:
- Valentine's Day discount emails
- Messages that claim to show secret admirer intentions
- Links that lead to supposed romantic surprises
- Delivery notifications that inform about unreceived gifts

Seasonal scams succeed because they match the predictable behaviour patterns that people exhibit during specific times of the year. During Valentine’s season:
- People experience their highest emotional vulnerability
- People shop more frequently through online platforms
- People use digital platforms at increased rates
- Users will decrease their level of scepticism while trying to establish connections with others
Cybercriminals use urgent situations together with emotional ties and social norms as their primary attack methods. The combination of psychological triggers and digital convenience creates fertile ground for deception.

To verify the claim, we conducted a Google search using relevant keywords. However, we did not find any credible media report confirming that the Government of India had announced such an offer.
We then checked the official website of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for any announcement related to the alleged ₹699 prize offer. No official notification or report supporting the claim was found.
As part of the next stage of verification, we also checked the official X accounts of the PMO and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We found no post or official announcement confirming the viral claim.
