In the viral clip, PM Modi can allegedly be heard speaking about the increase in sugar prices. However, a research done by the research wing of the CyberPeace revealed that the claim made with the viral video is false. The research found that the viral video is AI-generated and has been edited to spread misleading information on social media.

FactCheck
To verify the truth behind the viral claim, a keyword search was conducted on Google. No reliable news reports or official announcements were found confirming that PM Modi made any such statement regarding sugar prices. Keyframes extracted from the viral clip were subjected to a reverse image search using Google Lens. This led to the original video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of PMO India on August 15, 2026. In the nearly 1-hour and 39-minute long Independence Day address, PM Modi did not mention sugar prices anywhere during his speech.

To further verify the authenticity of the video, it was scanned using the AI detection tool HIVE Moderation. The results indicated a 94% probability that PM Modi's speech in the video is AI-generated.
The audio of the viral video was analyzed using Resemble AI. The tool's analysis confirmed that the audio was AI-generated, indicating that the original voice track had been manipulated/cloned.
Conclusion:
Our research confirms that the claim associated with the viral video is false. The video has been created using AI tools and edited to mislead the public.

Tomorrow will bring a tsunami, not just a surge. Until caste-based reservation, the SC/ST Act, and UGC regulations are removed, it will be difficult to stop us.”

Fact Check:
To investigate the viral video, reverse image searches were conducted using keyframes extracted from the clip. This led to an Instagram post uploaded on July 18. The caption accompanying the video clearly identified the footage as being from the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, Odisha.

Conclusion:
Based on the evidence gathered during our research, it is clear that the video being falsely circulated as an anti-reservation protest at Jantar Mantar is actually footage of the Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, Odisha.

Fact Check
To verify the claim, we conducted a Google search using keywords such as “Akshay Kumar,” “Operation Sindoor” and “documentary.” The search did not yield any credible media report confirming that Kumar had made the alleged remarks. We also checked Kumar’s official social media accounts but found no post or video in which he commented on “Declassified: Operation Sindoor” or criticised the Indian Army’s battlefield performance.

We then conducted a reverse image search of key frames from the viral video. This led us to an X post by Lokmat Times Nagpur, which carries the same visuals seen in the viral clip. The post was published on December 10, 2025, and its watermark is also visible in the viral footage. This establishes that the original footage was available well before the documentary’s release. In the original video, Kumar can be seen speaking about the Indian Street Premier League, and not the “Declassified: Operation Sindoor” documentary or the Indian Army.

We further analysed the viral video using multiple AI-detection tools. Hive Moderation indicated a high probability of AI-generated/deepfake content
Another detector classified Kumar’s voice as likely deepfake, while Resemble AI also flagged the audio as fake.
Conclusion
The viral video has been digitally manipulated to make it appear as though Akshay Kumar commented on the “Declassified: Operation Sindoor” documentary and criticised the Indian Army’s performance during Operation Sindoor. The original footage predates the documentary and shows Kumar speaking about the Indian Street Premier League. The viral claim is false.

Even after the conclusion of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, several misleading claims related to the demonstration continue to circulate on social media. During the protests, multiple AI-generated videos, deepfakes and fabricated narratives were circulated with the intention of misleading users. CyberPeace Research Wing’s Fact Check Team investigated several such viral claims and found that many of the videos were digitally manipulated or created using artificial intelligence (AI). The research revealed that fake audio, misleading captions and altered visuals were used to falsely attribute statements to public figures, including police officials, military officers and Union ministers. The following are four major false claims debunked by the CyberPeace Research Wing:
Claim 1: Delhi Police DCP Sumit Jha resigned from IPS in support of student protests
A video of Delhi Police DCP Sumit Jha was widely shared on social media with the claim that he resigned from the Indian Police Service (IPS) in support of the student movement at Jantar Mantar. In the viral video, DCP Sumit Jha is allegedly heard saying that he was resigning from his post with immediate effect and could not remain part of a system that forced him to spread false information against students. The video was shared with the claim that Delhi Police DCP Sumit Jha resigned from his position to support protesting students.
Claim
An Instagram user shared the viral video on July 28, 2026, claiming that Delhi Police DCP Sumit Jha had resigned from his post in support of protesting students.

Fact Check
CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found the claim to be false. The research revealed that DCP Sumit Jha has not resigned from his position. The viral video was digitally manipulated by adding AI-generated audio to an original video shared by the Delhi Police on its official X account on July 23, 2026.
The video was further analysed using the AI detection tool HIVE Moderation. The tool’s analysis indicated that the audio used in the viral video had a 91.8 per cent probability of being AI-generated, confirming that the audio was artificially created and was not authentic.
Claim 2: CDS Raja Subramani confirmed that more than 30,000 soldiers resigned over Jantar Mantar protests
A video featuring Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Raja Subramani was widely circulated on social media with the false claim that he confirmed the resignation of more than 30,000 Indian Army personnel following the Jantar Mantar protest. The viral video claimed that soldiers had refused to serve the government after police action against protesting students.
Claim
A Facebook user shared the video claiming: "After the protests at Jantar Mantar, India’s Chief of Defence Staff Raja Subramani has issued an emergency alert, saying that more than 30,000 soldiers have resigned in protest because their children were brutally beaten at Jantar Mantar."
Fact Check
CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found the claim to be false. The research revealed that the video featuring CDS Raja Subramani was digitally manipulated using AI-generated audio. The original video did not contain any statement related to soldiers resigning or the Jantar Mantar protest. Claim 3: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh warned protesters of strict action
A video featuring Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh was widely circulated on social media with the claim that he issued a strict warning against student protesters. In the viral clip, Singh was allegedly heard saying that the government would not tolerate “anarchy” and that strict action would be taken against those blocking roads, disturbing public order or damaging government property.
Claim
An X user (@ForumDefence) shared the video on July 22, 2026, claiming that Rajnath Singh had issued a warning regarding the ongoing student protest.
Fact Check
CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found the claim to be false.The original video available on Rajnath Singh’s official YouTube channel was digitally altered by adding AI-generated audio. The statement heard in the viral video was not made by the Defence Minister and was created using artificial intelligence. The viral video was also analysed using the AI detection tool HIVE Moderation. The analysis indicated that the speech used in the video had an 88.1 per cent probability of being AI-generated.
Claim 4: Piyush Goyal threatened to hang CJP supporters
A video of Union Minister Piyush Goyal was shared on social media with the false claim that he threatened protesters and called for two to three CJP supporters to be hanged to "teach the rest of them a lesson." In the AI-manipulated video, Goyal was allegedly heard saying: "To teach the CJP a lesson, we should hang two to three of its supporters so that they understand the real power of the government."

Fact Check
CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found that the viral video was digitally manipulated using AI-generated audio. The original video, posted on the Press Trust of India’s official X account, showed Piyush Goyal discussing the government’s response to examination paper leaks and appealing for the issue to be resolved through dialogue. He made no remarks threatening protesters or calling for the execution of CJP supporters.
The audio and statements attributed to him in the viral video were fabricated using AI technology.
Conclusion
CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found that all four viral claims related to the CJP protest were false. The videos circulating on social media were either digitally manipulated or created using AI-generated audio to falsely attribute statements to public officials. The research highlights how AI-generated deepfakes and manipulated content are increasingly being used to spread misinformation during sensitive events.

The posts claim that terrorists opened indiscriminate fire at security personnel deployed at the main gate, carried out bomb blasts, and took two priests hostage. CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found that the claim of a terrorist attack on the ISKCON Temple in Patna is false. The viral video is not from an actual attack but from a security mock drill conducted at the temple.

A Facebook post shared a video claiming: "Three suspected terrorists entered the ISKCON Temple! Security guards were shot at the gate. Three suspected terrorists carrying modern weapons and hand grenades suddenly entered the Patna ISKCON Temple in the morning and killed the security personnel deployed at the gate. They then carried out a bomb blast, creating panic inside the temple campus."

To verify the claim, we extracted keyframes from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search. During the search, we found reports from several credible media organisations clarifying that the video was not related to any real terrorist attack but was from a mock drill conducted to assess the preparedness of security forces. According to a Dainik Bhaskar report published on July 29, a security mock drill was conducted at the ISKCON Temple in Patna. During the exercise, a simulated emergency situation was created in which police personnel were assigned the role of suspected terrorists and were made to enter the temple premises. The drill involved personnel from Kotwali, Jakkanpur and Buddha Colony police stations, along with magistrates and around 50 police personnel who reached the spot and took charge of the situation. An ATS team was also immediately called during the exercise.
The report also quoted Patna ASP (Law and Order) Krishna Murari Prasad, who clarified that the exercise was organised to strengthen the temple’s security arrangements.
A Navbharat Times report published on July 29 also stated that, as part of the planned mock drill, three Bihar Police personnel carrying advanced weapons and hand grenades were sent inside the ISKCON Temple premises. Security agencies responded quickly, cordoned off the area, and the ATS team took control of the personnel and mock explosives, successfully completing the exercise.
During our research , we also found a post dated July 29, 2026, on the official Facebook page of the Home Department, Government of Bihar, regarding the mock drill.
The post stated that the Bihar ATS successfully conducted a security mock drill at the ISKCON Temple premises in Patna. The objective of the exercise was to test coordination between security agencies and stakeholders, quick response capabilities, and the effective implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) during a possible terrorist attack or emergency situation. The post further mentioned that the drill included a rapid response to suspicious activity, area sanitisation, safe evacuation of devotees, search for suspects, and other necessary security measures.

To verify the claim, we conducted a keyword search on Google. During the search, we did not find any credible media reports confirming the viral claim. Upon closely examining the viral video, we suspected that it could have been created using AI. We then analysed the video using the AI detection tool Sightengine. According to the tool’s analysis, the video has a 99 per cent probability of being AI-generated.
In the next step of our research , we scanned the viral video using another AI detection tool, WasIt AI. The results indicated that the video was generated using artificial intelligence.
Finally, we analysed the video using the AI detection tool AI or Not, which also concluded that the viral video was created with the help of AI.
Conclusion
CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found that the viral claim is false. The video showing a monk walking among lions in a dense forest is not authentic but an AI-generated creation. The video is being shared with a misleading claim.

Following the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on July 25, 2026, after protests by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, a video of Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been widely shared on social media. In the clip, Salman is heard saying, “Kyunki is desh aur desh ki janta mein hai bada dum” (“Because this country and its people are truly strong”). Social media users have falsely claimed that the actor made the statement in response to Pradhan’s resignation. CyberPeace Research Wing’s research found that the viral video is not recent. It dates back to October 2022, when Salman Khan congratulated actor Chiranjeevi on the release of his film GodFather. Salman Khan did not make any such statement following Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. The viral claim is false.

In the original video, Salman Khan is congratulating veteran actor Chiranjeevi on the success of his film GodFather. He says, “My dear Chiru Garu, I love you very much. I have heard that GodFather is doing extremely well. Congratulations and may God bless you. Do you know why, Chiru Garu? Because this country and its people are truly strong.”

As part of our research , we also reviewed Salman Khan’s recent Instagram posts. We found a post published on July 23, 2026, in which he appealed to students and their parents amid the paper leak controversy. In the post, he urged students not to worry, expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would ensure strict action against those responsible, and appealed to protesters to return home peacefully.

However, none of Salman Khan’s recent posts contain any statement linking him to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation.
Conclusion
Our research found that the viral video is from October 2022, when Salman Khan congratulated Chiranjeevi on the success of GodFather. The clip has been taken out of context and falsely linked to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation in July 2026. Salman Khan did not make any such statement after the minister stepped down. Therefore, the viral claim is false.

To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we extracted keyframes from the video and conducted a reverse image search. During the research, we found a longer version of the same video uploaded on the YouTube channel of a Bangladeshi news portal on July 16, 2024.
According to the video description, the footage shows the death of student Abu Sayed during protests in Rangpur, Bangladesh, on July 16, 2024.

However, we did not find any credible news report or official information confirming that Delhi Police DCP Sumit Jha had resigned in support of the student protest. During the research, we found a post shared by the official X account of Delhi Police on July 26, 2026. In the post, Delhi Police clarified that a fake and AI-generated video of DCP Sumit Jha was being circulated on social media, falsely showing him resigning in support of the student protest.
Delhi Police also reshared the original video of DCP Sumit Jha, which was posted on July 23, 2026. According to the caption, 480 Pakistan-based social media handles involved in coordinated disinformation campaigns were identified and blocked. Delhi Police appealed to students and young people to remain cautious of such foreign accounts attempting to spread rumours and misinformation. In the 54-second original video, DCP Sumit Jha can be seen warning people against misinformation circulating on social media. He stated that more than 400 Pakistan-based social media handles had been identified for spreading fake content and rumours. He said the objective of such accounts was to provoke people and mislead students.
DCP Sumit Jha appealed to citizens not to trust fake posts, edited videos, or content shared by anonymous social media accounts without verification. He also said that peaceful protest is a democratic right and that Delhi Police respects this right.

The tool’s analysis indicated that the audio used in the video had a 91.8% probability of being AI-generated, confirming that the audio was not authentic and had been artificially created.

To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we extracted several key frames from the video and conducted a reverse image search using Google Lens. The search did not reveal any credible news report, official source, or reliable information confirming that the video showed real flood visuals from Assam. During the research, we found a report published by Aaj Tak on July 27, 2026. According to the report, the flood situation in Assam remained severe, with several deaths reported and more than 7.05 lakh people affected across nine districts of the state. As the video appeared suspicious, we analysed it using the AI detection tool HIVE Moderation. The tool’s analysis indicated a 98.8 percent probability that the video was AI-generated, suggesting that it was not a real recording.
Further research was carried out using another AI detection tool, DetectVideo.AI, which found a 77 percent likelihood of the video being AI-generated.
For additional verification, we extracted key frames from the viral video and analysed them using another AI detection tool, AI or Not. The tool’s assessment indicated a 96 percent probability that the visuals were AI-generated.
Conclusion
The research established that the viral video is not from a real flood incident but was created using AI. While flooding in Assam is a real situation, this AI-generated video is unrelated to the actual floods and is being circulated on social media with a misleading claim.
