In a concerted effort to address the ever-growing challenges posed by the digital age, a unique talk show titled "Stop Online Stalkers" (#SOS) was recently organized by the Missing Link Trust in collaboration with the CyberPeace Foundation, and PVR Nest, the CSR arm of PVR INOX Cinemas. The event, which unfolded at an enlightening pace, aimed to empower students and raise awareness about online safety.
Experts from various fields shed light on child safety risks. Sumedha Mukherjee, a student and published author, Siddiqua Parveen and Ms. Susmita Chanda from WBCPCR, Sujata Sen, CEO of Future Hope NGO, Leena Kejriwal, and Mr. Kausik Halder from Webel all participated. Each panelist offered unique perspectives on the challenges and solutions surrounding child online safety.
The event continued with an open forum where students shared their personal experiences and raised questions related to cyber safety. It was an interactive session that allowed attendees to connect and learn from each other's experiences.As a parting gift to the attendees, the event introduced the SOS Child Online Safety Desk—a 24/7 chatbot designed to provide assistance and information regarding child online safety.
