The first day of Hackathon 2026 – Building an AI-Driven Threat Response Engine was successfully conducted by CyberPeace in collaboration with KIIT University. The hackathon brought together innovators, developers, researchers, and cybersecurity enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds to collaboratively design and develop Responsible AI-driven solutions aimed at enhancing cyber resilience and strengthening threat detection and prevention mechanisms.

The event served as a dynamic platform for participants to explore the application of Artificial Intelligence in addressing real-world cybersecurity challenges. Teams actively engaged in brainstorming sessions, technical discussions, and collaborative solution-building exercises focused on developing AI-enabled threat response systems capable of supporting proactive cyber defence strategies.

Aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, the initiative emphasised innovation driven by purpose and societal impact. Special focus was placed on promoting inclusive digital safety by encouraging participants to develop solutions that supported vulnerable groups, including communities and individuals with special needs, thereby reinforcing the importance of accessibility and global digital inclusion in emerging cybersecurity frameworks.

Hackathon 2026 was organised as a Pre-Summit Event of the INDIAai Impact Summit 2026 and the Global CyberPeace Summit 2.0. The Day 1 proceedings laid the foundation for meaningful innovation by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and ethical AI development practices, contributing towards the broader objective of building a secure, inclusive, and resilient digital ecosystem.

The sessions concluded with participants progressing towards the development of prototype-level solutions that integrated ethical AI principles with cybersecurity response capabilities, setting the stage for subsequent stages of evaluation and implementation in the upcoming phases of the hackathon.
