Overview:

Digital Shakti is an initiative aimed at empowering women and young girls with essential cyber skills and knowledge in advanced technologies like AI, ML, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing. This program focuses on improving online safety, boosting digital literacy, and supporting entrepreneurship. A key aspect is the creation of Digital Shakti Volunteers and First Responders dedicated to spreading digital literacy and building cyber resilience in communities.

Strategic Focus:

  1. Bridging the Skill Gap: Addressing specific skill gaps identified through initial analysis.
  2. Fostering Digital Literacy and Cyber Resilience: Providing a robust foundation in digital skills to navigate the digital landscape confidently.
  3. Promoting a Culture of Empowerment: Instilling leadership, self-confidence, and empowerment among women and young girls.

Impact:

Digital Shakti aims to empower individuals to confidently navigate the digital world and become leaders in technology and business ventures. The program envisions creating a community of tech-savvy and resilient individuals who play active roles as digital literates and first responders, with a focus on having women leaders in every state.

Goals:

  • Train 30,000 participants in each state (numbers may vary by region).
  • Establish a strong network of volunteers driving positive change and creating a safe, informed, and innovative digital community.

Achievements:

  • Total phases: 4
  • Workshops: 500+
  • Reach through sessions: 686,629
  • Online reach: 26,746,843+

Objectives:

  1. Comprehensive Cyber Literacy and Tech Competence: Educate on digital safety, privacy, ethical online behavior, and emerging technologies like AI, ML, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing.
  2. Skill Development for Tech-Based Entrepreneurship: Train in AI, ML, Blockchain, and Quantum Computing, emphasizing their applications and fostering entrepreneurial skills.
  3. Community Leadership and Engagement: Empower individuals as community leaders in digital safety and technology advocacy.
  4. Empowerment, Resilience, and Informed Community Building: Equip individuals to navigate the digital world, make informed decisions, and respond to cyber threats, ensuring a resilient community.

Phase 5 Plan:

  • Extend reach to an additional 1 million women, making women leaders in all covered states and villages.
  • Focus on bridging the skill gap, delivering digital literacy training, empowerment workshops, and community engagement.
  • Introduce the multilingual Digital Resource Hub (DRH) and Chatbot to enhance cybersecurity knowledge and capabilities.
  • Create educational videos on various training topics, available on CyberPeace TV (YouTube).

Conclusion:

Digital Shakti, in collaboration with the National Commission for Women, has made a significant impact by empowering over 600,000 women and young girls. This comprehensive initiative aims to bridge the skill gap, foster digital literacy, and instill a culture of empowerment, marking a collaborative effort to empower women and bridge the digital skill gap nationwide.
