1. Introduction

The CyberPeace First Responder programme was conducted on 27 and 28 May 2026 for personnel and cadets associated with CISF and NCC units. The programme was delivered through a combination of online and offline sessions with the objective of strengthening participants’ awareness of cyber safety, cyber hygiene, digital security, and basic cyber incident response.

The initiative brought together participants from CISF Ranchi, NCC Cadets, 37 NCC Battalion, and 5 Delhi Girls Battalion.

3. Objectives

The primary objectives of the CyberPeace First Responder programme were:

  • To strengthen awareness of cyber threats and emerging online risks.
  • To promote responsible and secure use of digital technologies.
  • To introduce participants to fundamental cyber incident response practices.
  • To improve understanding of cyber hygiene and personal digital security.
  • To encourage timely and responsible reporting of cyber incidents.
  • To equip participants with practical awareness to recognise and respond appropriately to cyber-related incidents.

4. Programme Proceedings

The programme was conducted over two days and included both online and offline engagement.

On 27 May 2026, an offline session was conducted for NCC Cadets at 11:00 AM, followed by an online session for CISF Ranchi at 4:00 PM.

On 28 May 2026, two offline sessions were conducted. The first session was held for 300 participants from 37 NCC Battalion at 10:00 AM. This was followed by a session for 500 participants from 5 Delhi Girls Battalion at 11:00 AM.

The sessions focused on developing participants’ understanding of cyber safety, digital risks, cyber hygiene, and the importance of appropriate action during cyber incidents.

5. Participation

The programme witnessed participation from diverse groups associated with CISF and NCC.

The two sessions for which attendance figures were available recorded a combined participation of 800 individuals, comprising:

  • 300 participants from 37 NCC Battalion.
  • 500 participants from 5 Delhi Girls Battalion.

8. Programme Impact

The participation of 800 individuals across the two sessions with recorded attendance demonstrates the reach of the initiative. The involvement of NCC units and CISF personnel provided an opportunity to extend cyber safety awareness to groups that play an important role in maintaining community preparedness and responsible digital practices.

The combination of online and offline delivery formats also enabled the programme to engage participants across different settings.

9. Conclusion

The CyberPeace First Responder Programme, conducted on 27–28 May 2026, successfully engaged CISF and NCC participants through a series of online and offline sessions.

The programme served as an awareness and capacity-building initiative focused on cyber hygiene, digital safety, cyber threat awareness, and basic first-response practices. With 800 recorded participants across the 37 NCC Battalion and 5 Delhi Girls Battalion sessions, the initiative contributed to strengthening awareness and preparedness around responsible digital engagement.

The programme reaffirmed the importance of continued cyber awareness initiatives for security personnel, NCC cadets, and young citizens in an increasingly digital environment.
