The Curtain Raiser event for the Global CyberPeace Summit 2.0 was successfully conducted to initiate dialogue and engagement around the growing importance of Trust and Safety in the digital ecosystem. The event brought together stakeholders from multiple sectors to highlight the need for coordinated global efforts in addressing emerging cyber threats and ensuring a secure digital future.

During the session, speakers emphasized that the digital ecosystem has become central to governance, national security, economic growth, and public trust. As societies increasingly rely on digital platforms for communication, financial transactions, and public services, ensuring trust and safety online was recognized as a critical requirement for building a stable, resilient, and secure society.

The Curtain Raiser highlighted the importance of a unified global response to emerging cyber risks. Experts and participants discussed how cyber threats are becoming increasingly complex and transnational, requiring collaboration beyond geographical and institutional boundaries.

A major focus of the event was on multi-stakeholder collaboration. Representatives from governments, industry leaders, academia, and cybersecurity experts discussed the need to build stronger partnerships to develop effective cyber resilience strategies. The discussions underscored that addressing cyber challenges requires collective intelligence, shared resources, and coordinated policy responses.

The event also emphasized the active role of civil society and citizens in strengthening digital safety. Participants highlighted the importance of awareness, responsible digital behavior, and public participation in creating a safer online environment.

Furthermore, the Curtain Raiser reinforced the concept of safeguarding the global digital commons through collective action. Speakers noted that protecting cyberspace is not the responsibility of a single institution or nation, but rather a shared responsibility among all stakeholders of the digital ecosystem.

The session concluded by inviting participants and the global community to join the movement and contribute to the ongoing dialogue at the Global CyberPeace Summit 2026, which aims to bring together thought leaders, policymakers, technology experts, and civil society representatives to advance the global agenda on cyber peace, digital trust, and online safety.

Overall, the Curtain Raiser successfully set the tone for the upcoming summit by highlighting key themes, encouraging collaborative engagement, and strengthening the global commitment toward building a safe, trustworthy, and resilient digital future.
