CyberPeace, with Support from Google.org, Hosts AI Safety Workshop in Ranchi Ahead of AI Impact Summit 2026

As part of its commitment to building a strong and wide cadre of frontline defenders against cybercrime, CyberPeace hosted the ‘AI Safety for Change-Makers: Awareness, Impact & Responsibility’ workshop in Ranchi. Supported by Google.org, this is an official pre-summit event in the run up to the India-AI Impact Summit, set to be held in New Delhi in February 2026.

The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Anindita Mishra, Consultant-Trainer, CyberPeace and Gaurav Lalit, Trainer, Press Trust of India (PTI), and brought together a diverse audience comprised of influencers, gamers, content creators, and journalists from Jharkhand and neighbouring states. Conducted in a hybrid format, the event blended learning, hands-on demonstrations, and an interactive networking experience aimed at empowering creators with the knowledge to navigate and secure their digital presence.

The session highlighted the growing cyber-risks faced by digital creators and reinforced the urgent need for strong security practices in the influencer ecosystem. Emphasising rising threats such as account takeovers, fake PR campaigns, deepfake identity theft, financial scams, and AI-driven phishing attacks, the session equipped influencers with actionable tools including strong passwords, MFA, privacy safeguards, brand verification, legal compliance, and digital asset protection. Through real-world case studies—ranging from hacked YouTube channels to sophisticated multi-layered attacks—the session underscored that online reputation, trust, and safety are inseparable for today’s creators, urging them to “influence responsibly and secure their digital identity.

Speaking about the significance of the workshop series, Major Vineet Kumar, Founder and Global President of CyberPeace, said,

“This workshop series is an important step toward building the first line of responders against cybercrime. Influencers, creators, and media professionals shape public opinion every day, and aware citizens are essential to checking the spread of fake news, misinformation, and online harm. By empowering these voices with practical digital safety skills, we are strengthening the foundation of a safer cyberspace for all.”

Throughout the programme, CyberPeace emphasised the role of responsible digital engagement and highlighted how creators can contribute to a healthier online ecosystem by verifying information, modelling safe behaviour, and guiding their audiences toward secure online practices. The workshop also reinforced CyberPeace’s role as a trusted partner to creator communities, offering them continued support in navigating emerging digital risks.

This Ranchi session marks another important milestone in CyberPeace’s sustained efforts to build digital capacity across India, ensuring that citizens, from students to creators to professionals, are better equipped to protect themselves and contribute to a safe and secure cyberspace for all.
